Dear Neighbor:   

 

Please allow us to introduce ourselves and our company to you.  We are Mark Miller and Eleanor  “Frederica" Hall, both owners and operators of Chocolate Expressions.  Together we had a vision to bring something meaningful and uplifting to the North Nashville Community.   Along with that idea in mind, it gave us the enthusiasm to want to encompass the community and the surrounding area schools and universities by presenting them with the opportunity to show and receive acknowledgment for their works in our Gallery.   We have a vast ambition to bring something unique and purposeful to our up and coming artist and authors of Nashville.  We welcome you to Historic Germantown and the surrounding community.

At Chocolate Expressions our plan is to promote something for the family and community by offering a variety of amenities for our customer preferences.  The following is a small overview of what we have to offer:

·        Local Artist Feature Artwork and Photography:   David Gillihan and Ross Jordan, Barbara & Leroy Hodges, Diogenese, Gregg E. Johnson and Lilly Bennett are on display for sale.  We offer a selection of their unique work.  (COMING SOON ) Michael McBride and James Threalkill  

·        Multi Cultural Art Work:  Novelties by Thomas Blackshear, Emma Jane and United Treasures sit eloquently upon glass displays just to name a few.

·        Local Author Feature Books:   Lou Berry author of “The Tie That Binds Rhythms”, “Poetry and Muse” by Leo Shelton, “Standing up Standing Out,” by Roland L. Jones and “Memoirs of the Insanity of Sobriety” by Richard Trayner, and our newest additions “Expressions of His Glory” by Lilly Lester & Joy Lester and “Beautiful Like Me” by Kim Cheri Brown.

·        New and Used Books:  Ranging from World History, Black History, Biography, Health/ Self-Help, Religion, Inspirational just to name a few topics of interest that you’ll find from our selection. We also provide the opportunity and time for relaxation, to set in our sitting area, while you decide on the right book for you adding an intellectual’s atmosphere.

·        Novelties:  Crystal figurines, greeting cards and  hand made jewelry  by local artist  Kim McCrary, Jewelry Designer and Ella Evans Buntin, Poetic Writer & Photographer,

·        Bonus Feature/ Internet Café:  Access to free WI-FI, inviting our patrons to bring their computer laptop to network or make connections with their business and educational endeavors while indulging in our light menu.  This will include salads, sandwiches and choices of coffee and other selective beverages.  In addition, we add the special treat of our assortment of special made chocolate deserts. 

 Special order your Holiday desserts with us.  You will enjoy your visit that also offers and presents an alternative to eat inside the Café or outside on the patio, taking advantage of a beautiful view of the Tennessee Bicentennial Mall and Downtown Nashville.  All State Employees and College University Students receive a 10% discount on lunch, with ID.

·        Special Events Weekly:   Book Club ,Book discussion, Network Night, Chat and Chew, Spoken Words , Open Mic Art Talk, and Authors Talk

·        Host:   Special guest speakers and open discussions, book signing, and small business meeting and parties for small groups
